Cape Abilities Awarded 3 Year Accreditation from CARF International
Hyannis, MA, February 22, 2024 - Cape Abilities, a trusted nonprofit supporting adults with disabilities on Cape Cod for more than 50 years, has been awarded a full three-year accreditation, the highest possible, from CARF International. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, enhancing the lives of people served worldwide.
Cape Abilities received the three-year accreditation for its Shared Living/Adult Family Care, Day Habilitation programs, and the Administration Department.
This top-tier accreditation underscores the commitment of both staff and administration to enhancing the quality of life, independence, individuality, agency, and safety of those we support.
Cape Abilities takes pride in this achievement and looks forward to continuing this essential work with its dedicated staff, supportive families and guardians, caregivers, and the community.
Cape Abilities Licenses and Certifications
Cape Abilities is licensed and certified by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and is approved to provide services for clients of MassHealth and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC), as well as AbilityOne/SourceAmerica.
All services support individual choice, community inclusion and promote attainment of goals and aspirations. While each program has specific intended outcomes, services are not continuous, thus an individual does not have to complete one service in order to move to another.
