While Cape Abilities celebrates 58 years of supporting our community, this year marks a special milestone for one beloved part of our mission: Cape Abilities Farm turns 20.
And before we share stories of what the Farm is today, we want to start where it all began; with a generous gift, a bold idea, and a belief in what could grow.
When the Milligan family gifted their farm to Cape Abilities two decades ago, they planted more than seeds in the soil. They planted possibility.
At the time of this extraordinary gift, Marion Broidrick was serving as Chair of the Cape Abilities Board of Directors and helped guide the organization through this transformative moment.
As Marion shared:
“The generosity from the Milligan’s in gifting the Farm to Cape Abilities was truly humbling. From the start, we were excited to imagine what the Farm could be a place where individuals in our programs could build skills and vocational opportunities, and a space that could grow into something meaningful for the entire Cape Cod community.”
That vision became the foundation for everything that followed.
