Students in our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program recently took an exciting and educational trip to Cape Cod 5’s Banking Center in Harwich Port, where they participated in a hands-on lesson in financial literacy. This visit provided invaluable insight into banking essentials, helping students better understand different types of bank accounts, the importance of saving, and strategies for planning for life’s big expenses.
Cape Cod 5’s knowledgeable team guided the students through essential banking concepts, and developing saving habits. The students were encouraged to ask questions and think about their financial futures, fostering both independence and confidence in handling personal finances.
The recent visit to Cape Cod 5 is just one example of how Cape Abilities partners with local businesses to create meaningful learning experiences for our students. These collaborations help students gain practical knowledge, build professional relationships, and feel more prepared for their next steps after high school.
We are grateful to Cape Cod 5 for welcoming our students and providing them with an engaging and informative session on financial literacy.
