Courtney’s life is full—shaped by a close-knit family and meaningful connection. But it was at Cape Abilities where she found something more: a community that helps bring it all together.
When Courtney first joined Cape Abilities, she was eager to jump right in and try new things. Over time, she discovered joy in her daily activities, both in her day program and through Community-Based Day Supports (CBDS), where she continues to build skills, confidence, and independence.
As her mom shared, “Cape Abilities has been a great resource and nurturing environment. It’s the perfect fit for a social person like Courtney.”
Today, Courtney attends CBDS twice each week, including time working at Cape Abilities Farm—something she is incredibly proud to be a part of. She loves that no two days are the same. Whether she’s helping staff with planting, welcoming new individuals, or sharing laughs with friends, Courtney brings energy and joy to everything she does.
Beyond her work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family traveling, cooking with her dad, dancing, bowling, and watching her favorite movie, Shrek.
At Cape Abilities, she’s found more than a program, she’s found a sense of belonging and the confidence to dream about what comes next. One day, Courtney hopes to lead a dance or exercise group of her own.
